Manixit Mann

Born into the [Indigenous] ways of life, I was raised from the very beginning with drumming, singing in our Native language, and dancing as soon as I could walk and talk. Guided by my parents, mentors, elders, and community, I have carried these teachings with me throughout my life. This lifelong journey of learning, grounded in responsibility to the land and to my people, has shaped my path and led me to serve as a culture bearer for my community today.

Manixit has been the lead singer of Quabbin Lake Singers for over 15 years. He’s passionate about writing and playing music, and cares about leaving something positive for his family.
